At the end of the studies related to the First Level Academic Diploma in Sound Technician, students must have acquired specific technical and cultural skills that allow them to concretely realize their own and others’ artistic ideas. To this end, particular emphasis will be placed on the study of the historical and contemporary musical repertoire, and on the in-depth analysis of its own analytical methodologies, including the history of electro-acoustic and computer technologies applied to music. These objectives must also be achieved by promoting the development of the perceptive capacity of hearing and memorization. At the end of the three-year period, the student must possess adequate skills concerning the use of electro-acoustic and computer equipment and instruments as well as design and management skills in reference to the recording and amplification of classical and modern repertoires. Furthermore, students must have in-depth knowledge of general historical and aesthetic aspects. The training objective of the course is also the acquisition of adequate skills relating to a second community language.
