The Monopoli Conservatory was established on 1 October 1971, as an adjoining Middle School and a detached section of the “N. Piccinni “of Bari, thanks to the will and merit of Nino Rota – at that time director of the Bari Institute – and an enlightened politician and intellectual from Monopoli such as Senator Luigi Russo.

The Conservatory has a total of 35 classrooms for didactic activities, a multimedia classroom, a library with a heritage of about 5000 bibliographic units, a wireless network and audio materials with relative listening station. Essays, concerts, seminars and conferences take place in the “N. Rota ”and in the cloister of great architectural value.
