Viola

The course aims, through the deepening of the musical studies completed, to train violists with a professional preparation suited to current needs in all sectors. Those who achieve the Diploma must: have acquired a complete technical mastery of the viola; to know, through practice, the solo repertoire relating to the viola; to know, through practice, the orchestral repertoire, in particular the orchestral passages traditionally required in competitions and auditions; to know, through practice, the chamber repertoire relating to the viola; to know, through practice, the repertoire and new techniques for contemporary music; to be able to concert and perform ensemble pieces quickly and efficiently, as is required today in the professional world; having acquired an autonomous ability to make interpretative choices, based on historical-stylistic knowledge and analysis.
